Colt Mustang Pocketlite 380 Serial Numbers
The Colt Mustang may look like a mini-1911, but it is not 100% 1911; more like 95%. The ejector mechanism is not the same. It is moveable, and IF you push it too far down the mag well, you need to depress one of the fingers of the sear spring to put it back.
It is good shooting gun. One of the few locked-breech 380s on the market, it has a single locking lug on the barrel hood and slide, which makes is a bit softer shooting; versus the harder kicking straight blow-back where only a recoil spring holds the barrel and slide closed until the pressures lowers.
Ballistics for This GunSelected Bullet Mass:90 grainsMV:969 ft/secME:188 ft-lbsAbout the CartridgeDesigned by John Browning and introduced by Fabrique Nationale of Belgium, this cartridge has achieved world-wide acceptance and has even been adopted as the standard pistol cartridge by several governments. One reason for the round's success is that it is the largest practical cartridge that can be easily adapted to small automatic pocket pistols. Ballistics fall far short of even the 9mm Luger, but still prove adequate for most self-defense situations.
